DO YOU MAKE YOU OWN DESIGNS?
I hand cut my jewelry from vintage & upcycled tin items that have included cookie/biscuit tins, tea tins, candy tins, serving trays, recipe boxes, food tins, & even shoe polish tins! The unique shapes come from stencils I design & create myself. The beautiful prints that you see on my earrings were originally printed on the tin themselves.
WHAT KIND OF METAL IS USED FOR THE EARRING HOOKS?
I use brass, an alloy primarily composed of copper and zinc. I, like many other folks, have metal allergies and will never use anything with nickel or lead for material that directly touches the skin. Also, the earrings are extremely lightweight which adds less agitation of you ear lobes. Everybody is different and you may still need to apply a coat of use a protective clear coat like ProtectaClear, Nickel Guard, Jewelry Shield, or even clear nail polish to the hooks if you experience any irritation.
WILL THEY CUT ME?
Each piece may start out as a dangerously sharp piece of metal, but after much hammering, grinding, and sanding, these pieces become smooth and safe for all! They are no more dangerous than any other piece of jewelry you have at home.

Have an old tin in your closet gathering dust? Send me a picture! If I am able use it, I will trade for an item of jewelry of your choice!
